The City of Goodyear hosts a variety of exceptional special events for the community. These community events are held for a variety of interests and throughout the year. Bring the whole family and join us in building an excellent, family-friendly community! Some activities require pre-registration, so check back often to get the most up-to-date details for the events.
Skatefest
Goodyear Skate Park; Friday, April 27, 2018 from 7-9:30 p.m.
Surf some of Goodyear's finest concrete at Goodyear Community Skate Park, 3151 N. Litchfield Road during the annual, free celebration of skate culture. Witness tricks, flips, jumps and skating demos by professional and semi-professional skateboarders. The Goodyear Skate Park will be closed from April 9 until Skatefest for the unveiling of improvements to the Goodyear Skate Park including repairs of all existing expansion joints, uneven surfaces, coping, and slight user circulation improvements. Some additional steps for ingress/egress to the bowl feature will also be included.

Kids to Park Day
Goodyear Community Park; Saturday, May 19, 2018
Help the City of Goodyear celebrate National Kids to Park Day in association with the National Park Trust. Outdoor activities will include a water balloon toss, kite flying, and much more!
Mother Daughter Rock and Roll
Palm Valley Community Center; Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 6-9 p.m.
Join us for a 50's themed night of fun wearing your favorite poodle skirt or sock hop attire! Do the twist and dance the night away featuring music to span the decades. Dinner will be provided.
Residents: $45 per couple, $20 per additional ticket
Non-Residents: $55 per couple, $25 per additional

Veterans Day Event

This event will pay tribute to the tremendous sacrifices made by the men and women of the armed forces, along with their families, in serving our country. All five branches of the military are invited to participate.

Goodyear Community Park - November 18, 2018
This FREE event is a one-stop shop for your dog that includes information on microchips, vaccinations, accessories and pet health care. Pet adoptions and contests will also take place, so dress up your dog and have lots of fun!
Chalk Art in the Park
Goodyear Community Park; November 3, 2018
Enjoy professional artists creating works of chalk art at the sixth annual Chalk Art in the Park event! The event and parking are free. There will be more than 100 squares available for the public to express themselves through chalk art. Supplies are provided at no charge, courtesy of Goodyear Arts and Culture. Activities will include music, face painting, art exhibits, and booths with art for sale. Goodyear’s mobile museum will be on site and food will be available for purchase.
Home Plate for the Holidays
Goodyear Ballpark; December 2018
Event includes Santa’s arrival, photos with Santa, the city’s annual tree lighting ceremony, inflatable activities, local vendors and performances by Anderson Institute of Music. Parking and admission are free; nominal fee for some activities.
Heart and Sole 5K

Kick start the year with either a 5K or 1 Mile Course at Goodyear Ballpark in February 2019.
