As the valley’s outdoor temperatures rise so does your water temperature. Your water supply is transported through shallow water mains (3-4 ft deep) made of ductile iron and stored in above ground metal storage tanks that leads to higher temperature water in the summer. In addition, most private plumbing is located within the walls or attic space of your home, both of which are very hot during summer months. While you may get a some relief by allowing the water to run, it will not be significant and can lead to higher water bills.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
