18-300-00003 City of Goodyear Use Permit for Public Utility Facility (Well No. 25)
Location: Northwest corner of the future intersection of W. El Cidro Drive and S. 175th Drive
Proposal: Request a Use Permit for a Public Utility Facility (necessary to serve the immediate area) to allow operation of a water extraction and production well and construction of an enclosure and associated equipment.  The new well is proposed on a 0.30-acre site within the El Cidro development that was planned as an open space area that will also be used as a park and stormwater retention facility.  This production well will be connected via a pipeline to the Water Campus No. 12 near the intersection of Lower Buckeye Road and S. 173rd Avenue.  The site will be screened by an eight-foot tall concrete block wall in a style that will match the decorative walls planned within the El Cidro community.

Location: 9697 Santo Tomas Drive (Lot 31 of Estrella Parcel 9)
Proposal: Request for a Use Permit to allow construction of a private swimming pool in the front yard of the single family home at 9697 Santo Tomas Drive.  The one-acre property is zoned Planned Area Development (PAD) Custom Home (Estate) Residential under the Estrella PAD.  The Zoning Ordinance prohibits a swimming pool within the front yard unless a Use Permit is obtained.  The pool will be located approximately 26 feet from the front property line.

Location: 400 feet South of the Southwest corner of Lower Buckeye Road and 173rd Avenue
Proposal: Rezone the property from Planned Area Development (El Cidro PAD) to Public Facilities District to expand the existing potable water production and treatment facility.  The site is being expanded from 3.26 acres to 5.75 acres to provide room for a treatment building and a second water storage reservoir.

18-350-00001 City of Goodyear Special Use Permit for Telecommunications Tower at Water Campus No. 12
Location: 400 feet South of the Southwest corner of Lower Buckeye Road and 173rd Avenue
Proposal: Request a Special Use Permit for a Wireless Communications Facility to allow construction of a 60-foot tall telecommunications tower on a portion of the 5.75-acre site of the existing City of Goodyear Water Campus No. 12.  The proposed tower will enable this site to communicate with other parts of the water system providing information on the operation of the system and control of the site from a remote location.  This property is also the subject of the rezoning request filed under Case No. 18-200-00001.
