Goodyear: Better Than Ever
95 Percent of Goodyear Residents Rate the City as a Good or Excellent Place to Live
Goodyear is getting high marks from residents who were recently surveyed about their quality of life, caliber of city service, and what makes a city a place where residents want to live. Overall, 95 percent of Goodyear residents rate the city as a good or excellent place to live.
National Research Center surveyed 3,200 randomly selected households in Goodyear. The survey is used by more than 500 government agencies around the country to provide valuable data. The city is proud to share the survey results which show that Goodyear is better than ever.
“Hearing directly from our residents is essential for making decisions for the future of our city,” said Mayor Georgia Lord. “If we know what’s important to our community, we can be more strategic when it comes to long-term planning.”
The following are among the results:
“I am so proud to call Goodyear home,” said City Manager Julie Arendall. “Thanks to our dedicated staff and the vision of our Mayor and City Council, our city is poised for even more growth. And our residents are passionate about what’s most important in their everyday lives. It is the combination of all these things which make our city not just good – but great.”
These types of results are valuable, and help shape the future of Goodyear. For example, past survey results revealed that residents wanted more amenities like a new library branch and a recreation campus. The city of Goodyear approved the addition of both.
Choosing where you live is very personal. For some, it’s where you raise your family and plant roots. For others, it’s about affordability or accessibility to the places and things that are most important. Maybe it’s about high-quality schools in the area or whether the community is safe and clean. What’s true for everyone – where you live is where you make memories that last a lifetime.
