Make a Difference Day is Oct. 27
Goodyear, Ariz. (Oct. 10, 2018) – More than 300 volunteers are expected to participate in 12 community service projects around the city to mark Make a Difference Day on Saturday, Oct. 27.
From planting trees and shrubs at Goodyear Community Park to painting the homes of low-income seniors, volunteers of all ages and abilities will help make improvements throughout Goodyear.
The projects are organized by Goodyear’s Training and Volunteer Specialist Angela Tolliver, who matches the needs with the volunteers. “Our residents have such a generous spirit,” says Tolliver. “These individuals wholeheartedly show up eager to help and make the community a better place for everyone.”
In 2017, Make a Difference Day in Goodyear resulted in hundreds of volunteers donating 1,400 hours of time in a single day.
