First Cafe Rio in Arizona with drive-thru opens in Goodyear
The long-awaited opening of Cafe Rio Mexican Grill in Goodyear has finally happened -- and this one comes with an important enhancement.
On Wednesday, Cafe Rio opened its 20th store in Arizona, at 13837 W McDowell Rd. It will be the very first Cafe Rio in the Grand Canyon State that comes with a drive-thru.
"This is super important because we’re going to set the tone for all the (Cafe Rio stores) to come," said Aaron Moreno, manager of Cafe Rio in Goodyear.
Founded in 1997, Cafe Rio has restaurants in 12 states. With Goodyear's booming population, Moreno said bringing a Cafe Rio to the city was a no-brainer.
"We’re expanding our business, and we heard Goodyear is the best place to do it right now," he said. "It's growing, growing, growing."
For those who have yet to visit a Cafe Rio -- check out the menu here -- Moreno said customers can expect one key thing.
"Freshness, all the way. We have no freezers, no microwaves. Everything (is made) from scratch," he said. "Just expect the best service in Goodyear, and the best food. That’s definitely for sure."
